Spellabration was a huge success! With your help, we were able to raise more than $50,000 to continue to provide free education services to our students!
Through your support, you ensured that Literacy Action continues to build better futures for undereducated adults by teaching literacy, life, and work skills that empower them to reach their highest potential
A special thank you to our event sponsors: Publix Charities, Delta, Primerica, UPS, Georgia Crown Distributors, and Gas South!
We also want to thank Keisha Lancelin, Public Affairs Director at CW69, for ensuring our guests had an amazing time!
Tune into Focus Atlanta every Sunday at noon to watch her discuss subjects that impact our community.
Congratulations toThe Junior League of Atlanta for taking home the trophy for the second year in a row!
October is a special month at Literacy Action, as we celebrate our students who are Breast Cancer Survivors! Breast cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer death in women and our student Charlotte looks forward to sharing her story each year.
This year she entered a contest and was selected for a makeover by Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup, and Bridal! She also encouraged fellow students to create signs and participate in the Breast Cancer Awareness Rally with her!

Keeping up with the annual tradition, volunteers from Ernst & Young joined us as part of #EYConnectDay to build scarecrow displays for our students.
In our Workforce Development Program, students attend Career Ready Workshops throughout the semester. A special thank you to our volunteers from Sage and Brownieland Pictures for assisting with mock interviews.
