News about the Impact Fellowships Summit, new and graduating cohorts, new staff, DEI efforts, and more.
Dear <<First Name>>,

At ProInspire, Fall is our “busy season,” when we kick off many of our fellowship and leadership development programs. This year, we are also in the final stages of our strategic planning process. Over the past few months, our team and Board of Directors have been gathering input to define our Bold Goal for impact, and the strategies that will drive our work in the coming years. We look forward to finalizing those and sharing them out later this year.

One imperative that has become clear in our strategy process is that ProInspire must take a bigger role in helping our sector prioritize and collaborate around talent, diversity, and inclusion. We are excited to kick off new field initiatives in the coming months, including the Impact Fellowships Summit and Equity in the Center. Please read on to learn more about what we’ve been up to, and join us in the conversation around these important issues.

ProInspire to Co-host Inaugural Impact Fellowships Summit
Representatives from over 30 (and growing!) fellowship programs and organizations will gather in Washington, D.C. on November 15th for the first-ever Impact Fellowships Summit. Along with organizing committee members Atlas Corps and Public Allies, ProInspire will convene leaders and managers of fellowship programs for a day of collaborative learning around critical issues such as recruitment and retention; diversity, equity, and inclusion; trends in professional development; impact measurement; and alumni engagement. We are thrilled with the interest in this event and hope you’ll help us spread the word to your network (see sidebar for details).  We extend special thanks to our Advisory Council for their expertise in helping us shape this event.

ProInspire Programs Welcome New Cohorts
We’re energized by the emerging and mid-level social sector leaders who recently joined ProInspire’s programs in Washington, D.C. and the San Francisco Bay Area.
More than half of the 2016 ProInspire Fellows started last month and participated in orientation and training focused on the first 90 days, managing up, and fundraising.

42 Managing for Success Fellows were selected for our Fall cohorts and participated in Managing Self, the first of three workshops in the program.

We’ll introduce you to these Fellows in our next newsletter, and we think you’ll be as impressed by them as we are.

New Staff Members
Speaking of new faces, please help us welcome two staff members who joined our team over the past few months:

Kristen Lucas started in July as Senior Program Manager, ProInspire Fellowship and Alumni Engagement. Kristen was most recently focused on leadership development at Teach for America.

Mike Rocco came on board in May as Managing Director of the San Francisco Bay Area. Mike most recently served as Executive Director for City Hall Fellows.

Please feel free to reach out to Mike or Kristen directly.

As we welcome these new team members, we say a big thank you to Ana Estrada Daniels and Andria Seneviratne for their leadership this year.

Celebrating ProInspire Graduates
Fellows, colleagues, and friends gathered to celebrate graduating Fellows in the SF Bay Area and Washington, D.C.
In June, the 2015 Bay Area ProInspire Fellows celebrated the end of their Fellowship year with dinner at The Burritt Room + Tavern.

In July, three D.C. cohorts celebrated the end of their programs: 2015 Fall Management Fellows, 2016 Spring Management Fellows, and 2015 ProInspire Fellows.

Congratulations to all graduates, and welcome to the ProInspire Alumni Community!
