Brighter Holidays, Brighter Futures and National Adoption Month are here!
Kayla is 16 years old and a teen in one of our programs, she was present when we handed out holiday gifts last season. What happened next amazed us.

Kayla was visibly emotional when she opened her gift  from a Turning Points volunteer and she left the room.  The gift was a funky wallet and a box of colorful nail polish. Initially the staff was concerned, but when we spoke to her we discovered her emotional response was because she had only received a holiday gift one other time in her entire life.

Can you imagine never receiving a gift for the holidays? Can you imagine not seeing the wonder in a child's eye as they curiously unwrap a gift?

We brought Kayla back into the room and celebrated with her as the holiday festivities continued. She was laughing and happy, and because of you, her holiday was brighter.

These moments are powerful. These are the moments you help bring to life with Brighter Holidays. We love what we do here at Turning Points and thank you for helping us create stronger families and brighter futures. We can't wait to share more stories like this with you this year.

This past week we kicked off our Brighter Holidays festivities with a celebration of our partners at Wilkie Lexus and our volunteers from Drexel University! Wilkie Lexus provides more than 400 coats to our children and families yearly. Drexel University's Pennoni Honors College has been instrumental in assisting with numerous projects, including our wrapping and organizing the many gifts that will go out to children.
