While school is perhaps of the largest examples of going virtual, there are so many more. One of the most vulnerable populations right now are our LifeSet participants. These youth are trying to get on their feet and meet their goals including finding steady employment, applying for safe housing and setting up bank accounts. All of that is much harder or impossible without an electronic device.

Right now you can donate a tablet to this group of young people working toward a brighter future. Click the photo or go
here and donate from our Amazon wish list to help a young person.
We have started a new monthly virtual support group for our resource parents. This initiative was started by our foster care staff and adapted to a virtual setting once the pandemic hit.

We meet twice a month and connect parents with resources and each other.

We counsel both the issues in their personal lives and the challenges they're facing as foster parents.
Our Turning Points for Children Annual Golf Outing, proudly sponsored by Starbucks, is still happening next month!

We invite you to tee off with us for a good cause on October 12th at the Chester Valley Golf Club.

Golfing spots and sponsorships are still available. You can get all the information or support the event
Finding Hope in the
 New School Year

The start of school is typically a time of joy, excitement, and the promise of a new start. This year challenged all that.

In the face of unprecedented times and a raging debate about how schools should proceed, Turning Points continued to provide social services and resources to the families that we serve and wanted to do our part to help get students ready to learn!

Our dedicated staff came together to figure out how we could support vulnerable families facing a new challenge.

Late last month, our CUA Community Engagement Team, a team of committed professionals that have done an outstanding job directing, planning, training and engaging the community, executed three separate back to school events. These outdoor drive-by events consisted of handing out needed items to families including the basics (pens, paper, folders) alongside some new necessities (headphones, chargers, flash drives, masks)
Over a hundred community members joined us and were both surprised and emotionally moved by the event.

One young mom opened the backpack they received and expected to see only the basics. When she saw a fresh mask, headphones, and other items to help her child through the fall, she started tearing up. She thanked and blessed our staff for hosting this event and for putting themselves out in the community despite a pandemic, supplying hope to families.

This is not a rare occasion. Our staff have continually gone above and beyond to support and serve the community during this unprecedented year.

With your support we will continue to provide opportunities to struggling families. Turning Points is your team out on the ground.
Thank you for helping to ignite hope in our communities.
