I truly hope that you are well.
During this challenging time, Turning Points is adapting to a new way of carrying out our mission.
In nearly 20 years of being with the agency, I never imagined a pandemic, but I somehow knew that even in the darkest of times, that our amazing social workers and staff would be a beacon of light.
When a crisis arises, the community calls on us. Our work does not stop, in fact, it’s more important now than ever.
It’s important to the youth at The Bridge/Villa. Our staff continues to show up for work every day there, supporting the 24-hour residential program for adolescents seeking to overcome substance abuse, mental health issues, truancy and other challenges.
It’s important to the more than 17,000 thousand individuals that have relied on Turning Points for Children in their time of need.
We have always answered the call.
While many of us are quarantined at home, much of our staff is not, they are in the field keeping children safe.
- Our staff answered the call when our FAWN food pantry staff deployed gift cards to hungry families that needed to get food over the weekend.
- Our staff answered the call when our Family Finding staff intervened on behalf of an incarcerated youth and arranged his release and placed him in a safe and loving home.
- Our staff answered the call when our Project F.A.M.! parenting staff distributed emergency diapers and formula to our parents in need.
We continue to find strength in the stories of our dedicated staff. Social Workers are another group in the many unsung heroes of COVID-19.
Donate today! Answer the call for our social workers.
PS. Please share our message with your family and friends, we’d love to have their support too.
