Please welcome Ana to the GLOS team!

This month, GLOS welcomes Ana Sirviente to the staff as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Ana has worked at the University of Michigan, the Council of Great Lakes Industries, and, most recently, at NSF International.

As CTO, Ana will work to lead adoption of new technologies and oversee the existing observing system.

Last month, at the Smart Great Lakes Virtual Workshop, GLOS, Cleveland Water Alliance, Council of the Great Lakes Region and Current hosted 60 attendees from policy, management, technology, and research sectors to explore ways we can advance technology applications that can improve our understanding, management, and use of the Great Lakes.

Buoy deployment delays continue

COVID-19 complications continue to limit buoy deployments for many operators throughout the region.

Some buoys have been deployed and are currently showing live data.
