  • How environmental journalism has changed in the  last 25 years.
  • Some of his favorite spots in Oregon..

Prior to coming to OPB, he spent seven years in commercial news as a producer, reporter, executive producer and news director.  His projects have received national and regional Emmys, as well as awards from CINE, The New York Film Festival and The American Film/Video Festival.
In 2009, the Oregon Field Guide special, “The Silent Invasion,” a program on the impact of invasive species on Oregon ecosystems, won the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award in broadcast journalism. OFG continues to be one of the highest-rated locally produced programs of all the PBS stations in the United States.
