The Saskatchewan Craft Council has been of showcasing the unique, the original, and the handmade at WinterGreen Fine Craft Market for forty years! WinterGreen is the only craft market in Regina where each and every exhibitor has passed the rigorous jury process of the Saskatchewan Craft Council. The 2015 market features over 70 artists, including more than a dozen new exhibitors!

"Wendy and I have attended 38 WinterGreens, right from the beginning," says Zach Dietrich of Parsons Dietrich Pottery. "At last year's sale, an elderly lady approached me, unwrapping a small cup which she had brought along. She told me she had bought 4 of these cups from us 35 years ago — her husband still loves them and uses them for his coffee daily — but unfortunately one had been broken. She asked if I could make her three more. Of course, I did."

It's this kind of history and personal connection that defines WinterGreen. For the six up-and-coming artisans in
our Emerging Artist Market Experience Program, this is their first experience at the market. By taking part in this program, they are beginning to build their connections within the Saskatchewan craft community.

As a part of our celebration of WinterGreen's 40th anniversary, we will be showcasing one of a kind pieces by our exhibitors in a special exhibition Illumination: A Celebration of WinterGreen Artists in the Quebec/Ontario room of the Conexus Arts Centre during the market. Access to this exhibition will be included in the price of admission to the sale.

Saskatchewan-made food producers will have delicious offerings for purchase at the market. We are hosting half a dozen information booths from local non-profits and businesses, including Kakwa, SaskBooks, and Creative KidsThe event will also feature musical entertainment from Saskatchewan performers to get our guests into the holiday spirit!
