Now in its fourth decade, the Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival is known for bringing finest in Saskatchewan craft and art to residents and visitors in the Battlefords.
The Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival was founded in 1973 by the Department of Industry and Commerce, and the Town of Battleford Mayor Alex Dillabough was instrumental in bringing the festival to the Battlefords. The Saskatchewan Craft Council took over organizing the Festival in 1976, and has continued to work closely with the Town of Battleford and Tourism Saskatchewan to bring the best in Saskatchewan craft to the Battlefords since.
