Carlebach Minyan at Netivot Shalom

The Teaneck Carlebach Minyan joins Netivot Shalom for Friday evening davening. Mincha begins at 4:15pm.
Drisha Shabbaton

Welcome to the participants of the Drisha High School Alumnae Shabbaton.

There will be a Friday night oneg at the shul at 7:30pm open to all high school girls in the Netivot community for learning, games and refreshments. 


The Round Robin/Progressive dinner will take place this Motzei Shabbat. 
We look forward to a fun evening enjoying dinner with new and veteran members. 
Dessert will be at the shul. 
General Membership Vote to Approve the Budget
and Election of Board Members

During the Round Robin dessert at the shul this motzei Shabbat at 9:30pm, there will be a vote by the general membership to approve the 2014-15 Budget and ratify the results of the May 2014 election (there was no quorum in May). All members are welcome to participate in the vote. For procedures, see the separate email notice of the vote.

Sefer Melachim Shiur

Rabbi Helfgot's shiur on Sefer Melachim continues this Sunday, December 14 after Shacharit.
Meeting for Youth Group Leaders
The shul will be sponsoring an Aleinu child safety training session which will be MANDATORY for all group leaders.

It will be taking place at shul on Sunday morning, December 14, from 9:00-9:45, and doughnuts will be provided
Our member Justin Straus will be performing with SHIRAH, the chorus of the JCC on the Palisades, presenting its annual winter concert with Israeli, Chanukah,and Ladino music on December 14 at 1:30 PM. Admission is FREE. Tickets are available at the door or by contacting the JCC. For more information, speak to Justin Straus.

Toys and Games for Groups
The Netivot Shalom youth committee is looking for gently used or new creative toys for our Nursery to Kindergarten-aged children and board and / or card games for older children.  No books please.  Some Netivot Shalom members have seeded a fund for toys and games for youth groups and we encourage others to join.  If you have gently used or new toys or games to donate and /or wish to donate money to purchase new toys or games, please contact Pam Scheininger at pscheininger@hotmail.com.

Members and their families are encouraged to visit patients at Care One on Shabbat afternoons (or other times during the week, if that’s more convenient for you).

Community Tanach Study
Please take part in our shul wide learning program of all of Tanach, to culminate with a siyum on Shavuot, the holiday of the giving of the Torah.

To sign up, click the link below and chose the book you would like to read. Each book can divided up between family members and studied together or individually, In addition, once the slots are full, people can double up on books already taken. Everyone is invited to participate in this opportunity to learn Torah collectively as a community. The web address for the sign up is http://bit.ly/1sWh8Ga.
