Chesed Opportunity
Tikun Olam Tour

Come join Areyvut & the YIOT Chesed Committee  for an amazing Tikun Olam Tour!
Families are invited to volunteer for a morning of mitzvot with:

Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps
Care One
Jewish Education for Special Children
and Teaneck fire stations.

A delicious lunch will be provided for our volunteers!

Who: Younger kids should be accompanied by an adult
When: Sunday, March 15, 9 am - 1 pm
Where: Meet at YIOT. A bus will take us to all our stops and bring us back to the shul.

Tentative Schedule:
9 AM  People arrive at YIOT, Introduction and go immediately to wash an Ambulance at Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps 
9:30-10:30 AM    Play games at Care One 
11-12 PM  Art projects with kids at Jewish Education for Special Children
12:00-1:00 PM    Deliver pizza to the four Teaneck fire stations and conclude with lunch back at the Shul

Come to Teaneck next Wednesday, March 18, 8pm at Cong. Shaare Tefillah (510 Claremont Ave.) for this Multi-media, hands-on workshop.
Invigorate your seder with games, props, costumes, etc  to engage and excite all ages! With a few small steps, your Seders can be transformed into a really memorable experience for your children (and yourself)!  You will never look at leaving Egypt the same way again!
Kashering of Utensils
Kashering of utensils will take place on Sunday, March 29 at 6:30pm -9:00pm at Beth Aaron.

Bikur Cholim
Members and their families are encouraged to visit patients at Care One on Shabbat afternoons (or other times during the week, if that’s more convenient for you).

Community Tanach Study
Please take part in our shul wide learning program of all of Tanach, to culminate with a siyum on Shavuot, the holiday of the giving of the Torah.

To sign up, click the link below and chose the book you would like to read. Each book can divided up between family members and studied together or individually, In addition, once the slots are full, people can double up on books already taken. Everyone is invited to participate in this opportunity to learn Torah collectively as a community. The web address for the sign up is http://bit.ly/1sWh8Ga.
