UJANNJ Mitzvah Day is less than 2 weeks away on Sunday, November 2nd. In preparation for the day, we are collecting baby basics (diapers, wipes, lotions and shampoos) and gently used books (not text books) to fill libraries at under-served schools. Please bring donations to Debra Passner's house, 563 Cumberland Avenue. Please leave on back porch.
The Israel Wine Producers Assn. will donate $24 to the American Friends of Magen David Adom for every 12 bottles of Israeli wine purchased through Oct. 31. To make it easier, Alan Schwartz will coordinate this for our community. If you'd like to participate, please send your store receipts for Israeli wine purchases to Alan who will forward them to the IWPA.
Sushi and Shmooze with the Rabbi:
Our next Sushi and Shmooze with the Rabbi will take place on November 1. During the regular shul kiddush, teens will meet upstairs for a special sushi kiddush and an opportunity to learn with and talk to Rabbi Helfgot. If you are interested in sponsoring a teen kiddush, please contact Pam Scheininger at email@example.com.
Rabbi Helfgot's Sunday morning shiur on Sefer Melachim resumes November 2.

In Our Kehilla
Invite prospective and new families for a Shabbat meal! As new families visit and join our shul, we would like to welcome them and help them meet shul members. If you'd like to be among the hosts (or would like to be hosted), please e-mail Daniel Moskovits at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 917-328-7163.
We are glad that many of our members are using the shul library and want to encourage everyone to take advantage of this resource. Please keep in mind that without a staff we need everyone's cooperation to keep the library organized and accessible to everyone:
Do not take books from the library out of the shul unless prior arrangements have been made and we can keep a record of books removed.
Return books to the shelf where they came from in the location that they were in. If they are part of a set, please help keep the set intact and in order. Do not leave books on the table or in random locations on shelves.
We are missing some books that members have presumably borrowed. If you have any of the shul's books, please let Bonnie Rogovin (email@example.com) know that you have them and please return them promptly.
