Rabbi Herzl Hefter

Rabbi Herzl Hefter is a graduate of Yeshiva University where he learned under the tutelage of Rav Yerucham Gorelik, z”l, and Rav Yosef Dov Soloveichik, z”l. For the next ten years, Rav Hefter continued his Torah studies at Yeshivat Har Etzion under Rav Aharon Lichtenstein. He is the Rosh Beit Midrash at Har El Yeshiva for men and women.

Rabbi Helfgot's Weekly Shiurim on Sefer Ezra and Nehemiah
This week and next week Rabbi Helfgot will be giving his weekly shiur on Sunday morning but not on Wednesday. The weekday evening shiur will resume again on Tuesday nights starting on January 31 at 8:30pm at the Rabbi's house. 
  Shaare Tefillah and Netivot Shalom Together
Shaare Tefillah has graciously agreed to let their kehilla know about our 8:00am Sunday minyan. In return, we would like to encourage our members to attend their weekday Shacharit minyanim that take place every Monday and Thursday at 6:20am, and every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30am, and Maariv at 8:45pm. If you plan to attend and have a yahrzeit, please let Benjy Burnat know ahead of time. 
Kiddush is being sponsored by the shul.

Rabbi Haim Jachter has been the spiritual leader of the Sephardic Congregation of Teaneck since 2000. Rabbi Jachter serves as a Dayan on the Beth Din of Elizabeth, and a gifted and popular teacher at Torah Academy of Bergen County since 1995 where he teaches Torah studies and Religious Zionism.

Dr. Julie Goldstein
Shabbat, Feb 25th 

Dr. Julie Goldstein is the Rosh Midrasha/Director of Amudim, a new Shana baAretz program for women designed to engage them with Jewish texts in the fullest possible way, from both traditional and academic perspectives, where no question or source is off the table and students are encouraged to think for themselves. Dr. Goldstein's teaching experience includes three years at the undergraduate level at NYU, fifteen years at Ma’ayanot High School, three years as a JLIC scholar-in-residence at UCLA, and nearly two decades of Jewish communal and adult education lectures. Dr. Goldstein received an MA in Jewish philosophy at YU and a joint PhD in medieval history and Judaic Studies at NYU. In 2013-14, she was a Golda Meir postdoctoral fellow at The Hebrew University and a research fellow at The Global Research Institute at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Goldstein has received a number of awards, including fellowships from Cardozo’s Center for Jewish Law and Civilization and The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture. She recently made aliyah and lives in Beit Shemesh with her husband, Rabbi Uri Goldstein, the former Rabbi of Ahavat Achim in Fair Lawn, and five children.

Lamdeinu is back in session for the Spring semester on Monday January 30. Dean Rachel Friedman will be resuming Parshanut Hamikra Bereishit: Avot ve-Imahot on Mondays as well as Finding Meaning in Prayer on Wednesdays. R. Hayyim Angel is returning to Lamdeinu on Monday afternoons in preparation for the chagim to teach Megillat Esther & Haggadat Pesach. R. Daniel Fridman is teaching Masekhet Kiddushin on Tuesday afternoon as well as Parashah and Hafarah Pointers on Thursday afternoons. Finally, we are pleased to welcome back R. Gedalyah Berger on Thursday mornings teaching Hilchot Shabbat: Theory & Practice.
