Open Hut
Rabbi Helfgot and Rachel Brenner welcome the congregation to their Open Hut on Shabbat Hol Hamoed Sukkot, October 11 from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at 740 Palmer Avenue.

Sukkah Hop

Please join us on the first day of Sukkot, Thursday, October 9th, for our annual Sukkah Hop.  This event will take place weather permitting.  Although your children are in for some delicious treats, we ask that they not bring bags to collect them - they will be given sufficient time at each sukkah to enjoy the delicacies.
We ask that parents accompany their children in nursery to kindergarden. Chaim Sussman and group leaders will be accompanying the older groups but we are looking for two parents volunteers to assist with the 1st and 2nd graders. Please contact Pam Scheininger at pscheininger@hotmail.com to volunteer or with any questions.

Tomchei Shabbos Holiday Food Packing
Tomchei Shabbos needs a lot of help during the holidays. We are looking for volunteers to pack boxes of food for families in need on Tuesday October 14 from 4:00pm - 7:30pm. Please email Margaret Herzog at barryherzog@aol.com and let her know who will be participating. High school students get chesed hours. Assistance from adults, college students or families is appreciated as well.
Simchat Torah
Simchat Torah Kiddush
We are extending the deadline because we are only at 45% participation (last year at this time we had 67%. Please help us reach as close as possible to full participation at whatever level you can give.

In addition to being a wonderful event which marks the conclusion of the Yom Tov season, this fundraiser is  the only source of funds for unsponsored kiddushes that we all enjoy throughout the year. Please join in sponsoring this annual event by completing our sponsorship form by Sunday October 12.

If you'd like to participate, please send your store receipts for Israeli wine purchases to Alan who will forward them to the IWPA.
Netivot Shalom is once again joining with communities throughout Northern NJ for the Annual UJANNJ Mitzvah Day. In preparation for the day, we are collecting Baby Basics (diapers, wipes, lotions and shampoos) and gently used books (not text books) to fill libraries at underserved schools. Donations can be dropped off at Debra Passner's house,  563 Cumberland Avenue. Please leave on back porch.
