CPBR Announces Two Sammy Pierce Memorial
Scholarship Awards for 2015

For the second year in a row, CPBR is on track to give out two scholarships in the amount of $1,000. PLEASE: Don’t forget to bring an item or two for the auction at CPBR's May Membership Meeting on the 21st. Can we beat the $400+ auction we had in January??
Scholarship Information
Students from the towns of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Rockingham, Springfield, and Weathersfield who are continuing their education in a 2 or 4-year college program are invited to apply. Public and private school students, home schooled, college, adult learners, and previous recipients may apply. While the course of study is not restricted in any way, the applicants must have a strong history of volunteer community service.
Applications and information for the Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarships are available at Black River High School, Green Mountain High School, Bellows Falls High School, and Springfield High School in the guidance departments, or by contacting Helen Wachtel at (802) 275-3902. The deadline to submit applications for this scholarship is May 10, 2015. Selection shall be announced in June.

CPBR Hosts Legislative Breakfast

CPBR held its annual Legislative Breakfast on March 16 to give members an opportunity to talk with local lawmakers about key home ownership issues.

Mark your calendars for May 21, 2015!  Signup will begin approximately May 1st for this 4-credit class.  Randy Mayhew will present his highly interactive class on Buyer Cancellation Rights & Seller Agent’s Best Practices. This class will be offered as a package:  $20 for coffee and muffin, board meeting, class, and lunch.  If you only attend the class, the fee is $70. Registration details coming soon!
May Community Tag Sale

May 23rd is coming quickly.  Now is the time to start gathering items for the tag sale.  Spread the word among your customers and clients.  Clean out your garage!  Good, working items are desired.  No clothing, please.  This is our opportunity to raise a significant amount of money that will go to a family or families in need.
We have storage available to us beginning now.  If you have items to drop off, please contact: Gary Coger, Joe Karl, Frank Provance or Betty McEnaney for access to the storage space.

April is Fair Housing Month

This month is the 47th anniversary of the passage of the Fair Housing Act. The Fair Housing Act enunciates a national policy of Fair Housing without regard to race, color, religion, sex, familial status, handicap and national origin, and encourages fair housing opportunities for all.
