Testimony Spotlight - Jessie
I grew up in a home where I was constantly being told that I afterward good enough, that I was a garbage person, that I never should have been born, and I spend my life believing these lies. The first time I came to Toast the King I was terrified. My goal was to sit through the meeting without anyone knowing I was there and leave the second it was was over. As I looked around the room I thought, "Wow!The women here ARE Mighty, they have something  to say and they are NOT afraid to say it. This must be a group for the natural born leaders. That will never be me."

Then during the meeting, the Spotlight Speaker shared that this was the first time she had ever spoke in front of a group and how nervous and inadequate she felt she was. I sat there in disbelief as she went on to share from her heart. The affirmation time afterward confirmed the amazing work that the Lord has done in her life and just how far He had brought her. This ignited a spark in my heart! If God could use this lady, bring her that far and give her the courage to speak boldly maybe He could do the same thing for me!
Before I attended a TTK gathering, I had been praying
that God would help me to find a place where I " belonged".  After my first luncheon, I started attending every event held by Mighty Women of Vision: Community of Unity, Sat morning of Inspiration, Fresh Release School, and Toast the King. I made some amazing friends who were so encouraging. It took some time but eventually I was able to share my name which led to a few words about my self, my ministry, my passion, my job, and now I don't have a problem speaking in front of this group at all. Last month I was able to share my testimony not just with Toast the King but at my Churches Ladies Retreat, something I would have never thought to be possible! Mighty Women of Vision has helped me find my voice through Toast the King. I now know that I DO have something to say and it is of great value because it shows how far God has brought me, how wonderful He is. Sometimes I still get nervous, but I no longer use that as a reason to keep silent. God wouldn't have given us voices if He didn't want us to use them. My name is Jessie, and I am fearfully and wonderfully made, God has great plans for my life, Toast the King helped me to see that.

NEW and EXCITING Ways to Give
Through MWOV

It is with great anticipation that we look forward to being used of the Lord to serve not only in Oregon, but throughout the world!  God is on the move, and we want to be a part of what He is doing.  Recently, the MWOV Board approved TWO new ministry outreach funds to be added to our ministry outreach efforts.  They are: a Missions Fund, to support those going on  mission trips throughout the world, and a Living Water Well Fund, which will help bring much needed water sources to remote villages.  The Missions Fund was recently used as a way for MWOV members and others to give funds allocated specifically for her Elizabeth Thompson's recent mission to India.  While there, Elizabeth was able to see first hand the devastation that others face when there is not easy access to water.  She presented the idea of a Living Water Well Fund to the Board, and after a time of individual prayer, we came together and unanimously agreed to add the Living Water Well Fund.  To learn more about these and other areas of giving, please visit our website at:

Springing Into Spring
With News from MWOV

Notice the header above?  Notice how it is out of focus?  No, it is not your vision and don't panic, your eyes are just fine....it was purposely used here as a reminder of the importance of having VISION!  AT MWOV, we are always seeking God for His vision and guidance!  There are great things happening in and through MWOV and even greater things to come as we continue to join in Unity to do what He has called us to do! How exciting!  Let's stay focused, keep our eyes on Him and together, we will see what vision He has for us and the communities in which we live and serve.

There are a few important dates to place on your calendar as we head into April and into Spring.

Annual Fund Raiser Info
The recipient of our annual fund raising efforts this year is Dove Medical Clinic.  The event is set for May 10, 2:00 at Eugene Christian School.  We are still looking for women to host a table or co-host.  This entails providing finger food, drinks and table setting for a table of 8.  The host can invite friends (men and women) or we can fill her table with guests.  The cost to host/sponsor a table is $80.00.  If that is financially not possible for the host, we can discuss selling tickets.

Also, we have asked Dove Medical Clinic to sign up for a baby shower registry at a couple of stores so people can easily purchase what they want from among the items needed such as: diaper bags, maternity clothing, some baby clothing and diapers, etc.  More info to come on what stores Dove is registered at will be shared as that info comes in.  Please contact Elizabeth Thompson with questions regarding the Fund Raiser.  She can be reached at:
541-688-8092

PLEASE NOTE: Our next planning committee for the fundraiser is on March 31st, 10:00 am at Emeritus/Alpine club house on the corner of N. Clarey and Barger, Eugene.

Rebecca's favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
