Welcome! This week our roundup of interesting and noteworthy publishing industry stories focuses on cool ways publishers are covering Olympics news, the MPA's report on top social sites for magazine brands, Arianna Huffington’s decision to step down as Huffington Post’s EIC, a new model for online magazine Dwell, and more.

Digital news coverage of the Olympics includes some innovative experiments with text updates, interactives, and push notifications.

Top social sites for magazine brands are Facebook and Instagram, accounting for nearly half of all industry likes and followers on social platforms, according to the MPA.

Arianna Huffington is stepping down as EIC of The Huffington Post to focus more of her time on her most recent venture, a health and wellness startup called Thrive Global.

Online magazine Dwell.com reinvented itself as an “interest community” where users determine what they want to see and share on profile pages they create, much like the way Pinterest and Tumblr work.
