Feb 22, 5:30-6:30 PM

ZOOM REGISTRATION LINK

In this PD, we will focus on low-cost STEM ideas, including using on-hand supplies and STEM kits available through TPI.
Hidden Figures

Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Christine Darden, and Mary Jackson were the brains of NASA's mission to send John Glenn into orbit. These women worked as "human computers" for years without proper recognition.

Students can learn about these women and their contributions to science and society in a cross-curricular series of lessons. This curriculum guide comes from Journeys in Film, a non-profit organization that provides free resources combining film and education.
