How will President Trump Impact Real Estate?

Now that the election is over, and Trump is the president elect, the question I have is: how will this impact our real estate market? According to this article in Realtor.com, "For the high-end, luxury market, it may turn into something very positive", and, for "the heart of Republican support—blue-collar, middle-aged workers...it may be harder to get mortgages, and those that will be available will be less advantageous.” We can't say what the future holds, "but it doesn’t look like demand from aspiring home buyers will taper off any time soon", so for now, it's business as usual.

How Much Will Your Home Appreciate Next Year?
Over the next year, Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins are projected to be the top cities in the country to appreciate in home value. According to this article in BizWest, "Denver is projected to record the highest appreciation in the country, at 10.8 percent, following by Boulder at 10.5 percent and Fort Collins at 10.3 percent." This is great news for all of you homeowners. If you're considering selling your home, contact me to talk about its current market value. And if you're interested in investing or buying a home before the prices go up more, let's talk about making that happen before the Spring 2017 season heats up.

Want to Buy a Home on Mars? You Might be able to Soon(ish)!

Believe it or not, "Elon Musk, best known as the CEO of Tesla Motors, announced in October that his company, SpaceX, plans to send people more than 30 million miles away to Mars as early as 2022." This news has people wondering: what will homes on Mars be like? According to this article, they would be "collapsable structures". And, of course there would be shopping centers and restaurants so people wouldn't get too home...I mean...earth-sick. It really could happen in the next 100 years. So, would you move to Mars if you could?
