Reflections on 2013...
and things to consider in 2014

The end of one year is a special time to reflect, celebrate, and plan.

I like to use this time, specifically the week between Christmas and New Year's, to reflect on my successes and joys in 2013. What did I plan for that went well? What exciting adventures did I take? With whom did I experience close connections? Which awesome new people came into my life? How did I experience abundance? Who did I help? What am I proud of? It feels good to sit in a place of gratitude for my accomplishments this year.

This is also a good time to reflect on what I could have done differently. What didn't go as well as planned and what can I learn from that? In which areas of personal growth could I learn more? Where did I not step up to a challenge or be in integrity with my values?

Here are a few blog posts from the past to give you some topics to reflect on and use to plan for 2014:

How to Change Your Relationship in the New Year

Setting Sexual Intentions

Bullying. Sexual assault. Suicide. Alienation. Relationship violence. Low self-esteem. These are common problems in high school and college, and they seem to be getting worse. But there's a San Diego nonprofit who's making a difference in schools, using compassion, mindfulness, and leadership building. This organization, Jeans 4 Justice, needs the help of our community to keep moving forward in 2014 with their programming that changes lives.
