President's Corner:
Striders, As we head into the holidays, we have some great events planned. Next weekend, we’ll go plogging, which means we’ll combine our two favorite activities: running and picking up trash. Well, maybe picking up trash isn’t in our top-ten of favorite activities, but it's a chance to feel good about your workout, and for doing something for the community. Our next two Thursday evening runs will take us by a house with an impressive light show, where we’ll trade our huffing and puffing for some ooing and aahing. And instead of our usual holiday party, we’re going to have a picnic at our traditional New Year’s Day relay run around the stunning Lake Kingstowne where we can both maintain social distancing and have fun. Let’s home for some decent weather. In the meantime, the streak is going on, with about a half-dozen Striders maintaining at least a mile a day! Good job!
Happy holidays to all Striders! I look forward to seeing you on a run.
