Student Involvement Updates

Student Orgs & Greek Life

The USFC & NPHC Retreat
The USFC and NPHC retreat was a bonding experience for respective organizations in both councils. It was a time for councils to network with other organizations and get to know each other on a personal level. From understanding different viewpoints to regaining the passion students had when they joined their organizations.

Info Night
The United Sorority & Fraternity Council is the umbrella organization for which Multicultural Greek organizations fall under. Every semester the council showcases to their prospective members, what each respective organization stands for to show them what wearing multicultural greek letters means for them. This semester the council took it back to traditions and could not wait to show the crowd what their own individual organization had to offer at SJSU.
Leadership
Need some leadership development? Of course you do! Attend our Leadership Can Be Learned Workshop Series happening throughout the semester.
Campus Programming
Congrats to our 1st place winner for our Snowman building contest "Mini Snowman"!
Our 2nd place winner went to the"Cat & Dog" snow animals!
Last Tuesday, on February 13th Spartans came out on a sunny day to build a custom snowman at our "Do You Want To Build A Snowman" event. On this day, churros and hot chocolate were given out to students on the 7th St. Plaza.
Campus Resources Highlight
Located on this map are the Student Food Shelves.

Here, SJSU students in need of immediate food assistance have access to a number of small, self-serve "shelves" around the main campus.  At these informal pantries there is no registration process. Students can just stop in and take items as needed.

Resource Centers Open
The African-American Black Student Success Center is now OPEN. The Center will be having both their Welcome Ceremony and Open House this week.
The Chicanx/Latinx Student Success Center is now OPEN. These centers welcome students come study and meet other students.
