EXCITING NEWS!!!
The Women’s Retreat is Coming Back!!
Ladies, mark your calendars for November 11–13 for 'The Retreat'! The location this year is the St. Francis Retreat Center in San Juan Bautista. The drive time is very similar to the drive time to La Casa de Maria where we have been many times.
The speaker’s name and topic are still pending, but get these dates on your calendars! Those of you who have been in the past know about the wonderful experience of a Retreat. This is not just for Mt. Carmel! If you have a friend/relative that enjoys fellowship, spiritual enrichment, food, and fun, invite them to join us!
Any questions? Please contact Nancy Priddy,
npriddy@charter.net
Adult Forums for this fall will begin September 25 with a Town Hall discussion of events and plans by the Church Council. The tentative schedule of Adult Forums for October Is:

October 2 – Ministry Fair – Info and a chance to join in on our Ministry Teams
October 9 -  “Do It Yourself Creation” Bible study based on the Creation story from Genesis Chapters One-Two-Three.
October 16 – “Do It Yourself Creation’ Bible study continued.
October 24 – Presentation on the Senior Housing Project progress with Hosts Ryan McKinley - President, and Marty Fuller - Construction Superintendant of McKinley Construction. Plans include a walking tour of the project.
October 30 – Reformation Day Bible Study

The Adult Education Team is recruiting congregation members interested in helping plan the Adult Forum topics for the year. If you are interested,  please contact Bob Grosse, Adult Ed Team leader.
At the June 2022 Annual Meeting, our congregation approved a commitment to raise $40,000 in addition to the proposed budget to complete necessary repairs and improvements to our roofing, landscape, and drainage issues. “Cover The Roof” has been adopted as the fundraiser slogan and is ready to begin.

Watch this space in the Vistas for information concerning this fundraising project. To kick off the project, members of the council and the planning team have already committed to pledges of $15,700, leaving a balance of at least $24,300 to be raised elsewhere. All members of the congregation are being asked for their support in addition to your normal giving.

To contribute by check, make a note of “Facility Repairs” on the memo line. If you make your contributions by credit card or by E-checks let the Financial Secretary, Carol Grosse,
cgrosse@charter.net know that your donation is for the fund raising project.

If Grace is True
by Philip Gulley and James Mulholland
Two pastors present their belief in eternal salvation for all through God′s perfect grace. Long disturbed by the Church′s struggle between offering both love and rejection, they discover what God wants from us and for us: grace for everyone.
