Church News and Notes
September 11: God's Work, Our Hands - We're putting together goodie bags to share with our neighbors in need. An example of the items for the bags is in the narthex. You are invited to donate the items represented in the sample, or make a monetary donation. Whether you donate or not, everyone is invited to assemble bags during the Adult Forum. See Deanna or call the church office for more information.
September 18: Fundraiser BBQ - You're all invited to a fundraising BBQ featuring our very own Road Kill Grill and live entertainment from the SLO Strummers. Angie Salazar from Iglesia Santa Cruz will join us during worship to share information about ISC.

Monies from this fundraiser will be used to pay for an off-site storage unit for ISC. A Thirivent Action Team is available for online giving.

September 25: Rally Day and Fall Kick Off - Children's Sunday School and Adult Forum both kick off today. Rally Day will feature a bounce house and root beer floats. Schedules for Adult Forums will be announced soon. Please contact Bob Grosse with your ideas and suggestions for future Adult Forums.

If Grace is True
by Philip Gulley and James Mulholland
Two pastors present their belief in eternal salvation for all through God′s perfect grace. Long disturbed by the Church′s struggle between offering both love and rejection, they discover what God wants from us and for us: grace for everyone.

We’ll begin by reading the Introduction and Chapter 1.
New Matching Funds Challenge for SLO Food Bank
Starting August 15, 2022
Did you know we have over 30,000 neighbors in our county who are food-insecure?

Donations may be made online at:  Remember to note “Mt. Carmel”

Or by check to:

Thank you for your support. Please continue to help those struggling with food insecurity at our sister congregation. Items that are always needed are:
