Adams Chapel at the Movies

Members young and older enjoyed our outing on Sunday to watch the wonderful biopic "Harriet". This movie was right on time because Sunday's Church School theme was "FAITH". Paul wrote 1st and 2nd Thessalonians as a letter to give hope and encourage the people to have faith in God. Harriet Tubman (who, by the way, was born in Cambridge, Maryland) had extraordinary faith in God and credits her faith and hope to be free as to why she "never lost a passenger" while helping her family and friends escape from slavery in the Underground Railroad. This movie was a biopic so some parts or characters were a composite of real events or people during the time period.

The Lay Organization will head to Cambridge, MD in February 2020 to visit the Harriet Tubman National Park & Museum. We invite you to go with us to get all the facts of Harriet's life and even visit some sites that were part of Ms. Tubman's daring escape from slavery.
