The 2015 Canada Games are just around the corner.  Prince George, BC will play host to this multi-sport event from February 13 – March 1. Since the Canada Games were introduced in 1967, more than 100,000 participants in over 40 sports have been involved as athletes, coaches or officials, and over 75,000 volunteers have dedicated their time to staging the event.
This year 337 participants from 52 different Alberta communities make up the full team that will be competing in 19 different sports. This talented team of Alberta’s best is comprised of 245 athletes in various sports.  They will be supported by 73 coaches and managers, along with 19 mission staff.

Coaching Tips

On October 16th, 2014, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, proclaimed 2015 as the Year of Sport in Canada. In light of the many exciting sporting events that will take place in Canada in 2015, the Coaching Association of Canada will publish, on #CoachTipTuesday, a weekly tip from one of our national team coaches pertinent to an upcoming or recent major sport event.

Click on the link below and you'll find all the tips as Coaches Association of Canada publishs them. Some are sport-specific, to enhance your delivery of coaching in your sport, while some are holistic and intended to help you reflect on your coaching as a whole.
