CYT’s class sessions are designed to offer students performing arts classes in drama, voice, and dance. Our Gang and CYT Junior classes culminate in a showcase performance on February 12th.
 
Come sing, dance, improvise and develop character with Mickey and the gang as Our Gang explores the various aspects of theater through the world of Disney.

This class meets on Monday nights from 6pm-7:30pm January 8th-February 12th.

The showcase on February 12th will be a culmination of all that the students have learned and will include lots of Mickey Mouse fun!
 
 
Our Junior CYT students will have the joy of singing and dancing to some of their favorite Disney tunes from familiar Broadway shows. In just 6 weeks, students will learn a complete Broadway review!

This class meets on Monday nights from 6pm-8pm January 8th-February 12th.

The showcase on February 12th will be a culmination of all that the students have learned and will include lots of Mickey Mouse fun!
 


CYT Tucson Master Classes are stand-alone classes that give older students, ages 12-18, the opportunity to build skills in specific areas. Master Class students do not give a final showcase performance at the end of the session.

 
 
Christie Kerr has worked throughout the USA as a professional choreographer, teacher, performer, and director. Selected Directing/Choreography credits include: 42nd Street, Hairspray, Into the Woods, West Side Story, Crazy For You and The Drowsy Chaperone. Christie is new to Tucson and is an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at The University of Arizona. At the UA, Christie has choreographed their productions of The Addams Family, Evita, and Hands on a Hardbody. A graduate of The University of Michigan, Christie holds a BFA Degree in Musical Theater Performance.

This one night class meets from 6pm-8pm on January 8th.
 

Jasmine Roth is the Education Associate for Arizona Theatre Company in Tucson. She graduated summa cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, NY, with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. Before joining the ATC Learning & Education team, Ms. Roth taught theatre and dance for several organizations and schools throughout Tucson, including ZUZI!, Diverse Dance, Christian Youth Theater, and the Catalina Foothills School District Community Schools Program. She can also be found as a freelance actor, dancer, and director for several local theatre companies. Jasmine is also choreographing CYT’s Beauty & the Beast in Spring 2018!

This one night class meets from 6pm-8pm on January 15th.
 

Tim Warren currently teaches music and theatre at the Legacy Traditional School and music lessons at Music & Arts in Tucson, AZ. He has been Director and Musical Director for numerous productions with Arts Express, Legacy Traditional School, as well as CYT Tucson.

Tevin Page was born and raised in Tucson AZ. He has 20 years of martial arts experience and has been instructing for 14 years. He has trained in Krav Maga, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai.

This one night class meets from 6pm-8pm on January 22nd.
 

Mike Padilla has entertained and worked in Tucson, San Francisco and Japan as a cabaret entertainer, pianist, singer, actor, musical director, and teacher. Locally he has done musical direction for the Invisible Theatre, The Gaslight, UofA’s Arizona Repertory Theatre, Arts Express and CYT. He has been the vocal coach/music director for the Ben Vereen Awards the last 3 years. Currently, he is an instructor at the UofA School of theatre where he is the staff pianist, vocal coach, and musical director. Mike is a member of the Nat’l. Assoc. of Teachers of Singing, and maintains a private voice studio.

This one night class meets from 6pm-8pm on January 29th.
 

John Kerr started his professional career working for the Olympic Village and Closing Ceremonies for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He has performed with Barry Manilow, Carol Burnett, and the Metropolitan Ballet Company. John also worked for the NFL as the assistant choreographer/director of halftime shows in 1997/98. He continues to support the arts and mentor “up and coming” choreographers.

This one night class meets from 6pm-8pm on February 5th.
