A Bit of Celtic Magic in southern NJ!

When Ula's druidess is kidnapped by the evil Balor, the Irish princess must leave her secret cottage to seek help. And who better to help her locate the druidess than the Irish Wolfhound who just happens to be owned by the handsome man who saves her virtue at a pub?

Shay Devlin wants nothing to do with the beautiful Ula--especially not once he realizes she's out to steal his unruly dog, Bran--but there's no way he and his geise will allow him to turn her out into the snow, alone and unprotected. Too bad everything about the mysterious dog snatcher tempts him to break every rule of his sacred code.

Though their love is forbidden--for prophecy says Ula will marry a man with black eyes and Shay's are blue--they battle the druid who wants not only Ula, but the kingdom she is destined to rule.

The Best One

Kiss of Blarney was previously published by New Concepts Publishing and despite good reviews, NCP decided to cull their offerings and returned the rights of the book to me. Fortunately, Crescent Moon Press was willing to reissue the book. Their acquiring editor thought it was funny. Funny is good, but an eye-catching cover is even better because it does seem that most people judge a book by its cover. Jeannie Ruesch  designed the new cover and I am truly delighted with it. I think it's the best cover I have ever had!

Since Kiss of Blarney is a novella, it is a quick read and inexpensive. It is available at Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and All Romance Ebooks.

What's Next?

As usual, I have a few manuscripts out at different publishing houses. I do not know whether I'll get a contract or not at this point--and the waiting is always so long. In the meantime, I am writing another book. I have longed to write a pirate romance for years and so I have begun my own wonderful adventure. The story is a time travel romance--another subgenre I've always enjoyed.

I've been reading lots of seafaring adventure stories as part of my research. The last one I read was Captain Blood by Rafael Sabatini. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. It was wonderful!

Below is my own very brief review of it. It is worthy of your time. Besides, it is available for free on the internet because the copyright is now in the public domain.

Peter Blood, forced into piracy, never abandons his sense of honor. Pining for the unattainable and beautiful Arabella, he names his ship after her and paints it red. With an amazing gift for strategy, he leads his buccaneers to victory despite overwhelmingly poor odds. Every chapter was a delight in this high seas adventure.

Jennifer's existence has centered on protecting the world from a cursed spirit who guards a deadly portal located on her farm. When a billionaire developer, haunted by the sins of his past, wants to buy her farm, she refuses, knowing the spirit will be released on those she loves. When someone intent on controlling the demon kidnaps her brother in order to use the farm for his own evil deeds, Jennifer and the billionaire must unite to save her brother and destroy the portal. Can their union grow into a loving and safe lifetime for them and their future generations?

I love hearing from fans so please feel free to contact me. Let me know what you think. What book do you believe needs a sequel? Which secondary character do you think needs his or her own story told? What's your favorite genre? What's your favorite setting for a novel? If you want to go to the Caribbean in a book, maybe I'll have to do some research by visiting it. What a tough job this writing business is!
