Successful citizens' juries

People taking part in our three citizens' juries on wind farm development are positive about the method as a way to involve communities in issues that affect them.

The interim report from the project looks at the process of running the juries and the kind of data they have generated for further research. The final report is due later this year.

Our new report looks at how land estate managers seek to integrate adaptation and mitigation via changes in land-use or changes in business and income generation.

It provides valuable insights into how estate managers see government policies, and into what things are supporting or hindering progress.

Our new report on home energy efficiency identifies certain ‘trigger points’ during the life of the home when energy efficiency measures may be easier to implement.

These trigger points can provide valuable opportunities for policymakers to target households with energy efficiency policy interventions.

Sarah Govan new Knowledge Manager

Sarah Govan will take up the post of CXC Knowledge Manager from 16 June. She is on secondment from the Scottish Government where she has most recently worked as Policy & Programme Officer within the Elections & Constitution Division.

Sarah has policy experience from a variety of roles within the Scottish Government, the secretariat for the Christie Commission and Historic Scotland.

Scotland's Climate Change Adaptation Programme published
The SCCAP, laid before Parliament on 29 May, sets the direction on climate change resilience work for years to come.

ClimateXChange has worked closely with the Scottish Government on different parts of providing the science base for policies, preparing the programme and engaging with stakeholders.
