Adaptation monitoring and reporting

ClimateXChange is developing a set of indicators to assess how adaptation is making a difference in Scotland.

Our Adaptation Indicators Project will inform the independent assessment of the Scottish Climate Change Adaptation Programme. The independent assessment is being produced by the Adaptation Sub Committee of the UK Committee on Climate Change.

Peatland research priorities

Peatlands' role in the carbon cycle combined with benefits to water, agriculture and biodiversity has put the topic high on both the research and policy agendas.

A ClimateXChange workshop has discussed priority research and how to feed robust and up-to-date information on peatlands into land use policy.

Call for Evidence

The Adaptation Sub-Committee is looking for published information that can be used for Climate Change Risk Assessment due in 2017. Deadline  for submitting evidence is 30 April.

The Evidence report will be submitted to the UK Government in July 2016.

Ragne Low new Project Manager

Ragne Low is taking over as ClimateXChange Project Manager. Ragne has worked as Knowledge Manager since the centre started up in 2011 and has been responsible for our call-down service and engaging with Scottish Government policy teams.
