Welcome to the March edition of Hughes News. They call it "Mad March" in Adelaide - the city comes alive with the calendar groaning from events, festivals and activities. It's a busy month for us too - read on to hear what we've been up to!

Riverbank opening

Tourism Minister Gail Gago officially opened the new $3.86 million Panorama Suite and Regattas Bistro + Bar Complex on the Riverbank as part of our client the Adelaide Convention Centre’s expansion project. The complex is the first custom designed and built stand-alone restaurant, bar and function space to open in the precinct and is the first of many new meeting and events spaces to be created at the Centre over the next five years. Both venues take advantage of the expansive views of the river, Elder Park and the Adelaide Oval and all the way down to the weir.

Hughes PR: 20 years in 2012

This year, Hughes Public Relations celebrates 20 years in business! It was in February 1992 that consultancy principal Tim Hughes established Hughes Public Relations. Tim has penned a blog post about the milestone, and we look forward to other celebrations throughout the year.

Two new villages for Lifestyle SA

Modern retiree housing in Adelaide’s south has been given a major boost with Lifestyle SA’s new $60 million Mount Barker Lifestyle Village officially welcoming its first residents in February.
Lifestyle SA has also just completed its 165-home Reserve Lifestyle Village at Woodcroft with more than half of all homes already sold.

Welcome to the Bonacci Group

Hughes PR has welcomed the Bonacci Group as a client as the company prepares to expand its operations into the South Australia. Established in 1981, Bonacci Group is a well-respected provider of structural, civil and infrastructure consulting engineering services and has offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. In South Australia, the company will focus its services on the mining, road and infrastructure and property industries.
