Dear Hughes PR Subscriber

Heading into the long weekend, we thought we'd share our best Easter wishes - as well as our new enewsletter format. Enjoy!

Park Life

In client news, 45 Park Gilberton - a $180 million apartment development - is on track to be built after receiving project approval from Walkerville Council. More than 200 premium quality apartments will be constructed on the Park Terrace site, which runs alongside the River Torrens Linear Park. 45 Park will provide residents with easy access to the Botanic Garden, schools, city centre and North Adelaide cafe strips. At its heart - Adelaide’s first communal garden within an apartment development, offering residents and guests exclusive access to nearly 6000 square metres of resort style landscaped gardens.

Shorts stand tall

The 2011 SHORTS Film Festival, assisted by communication support from Hughes PR, attracted a record audience to its new home at the Norwood Concert Hall with more than 1600 film buffs attending screenings over the week-long event. Congratulations to NSW director and screenwriter Lucy Gaffy who took out the Gold Shorts Award with her The Love Song of Iskra Pruffock.

IKEA Hundstol

IKEA no fools

IKEA proved to be nobody’s fool when it released an April Fool’s Day prank which promoted the launch of a new high chair for dogs. The campaign achieved worldwide coverage. Hughes PR managed the campaign publicity in SA and WA and drove the social media through our networks.

Amanda Blair and Simon Bryant

Paws Parade

Guide Dogs SA.NT turned the streets of Adelaide orange on April 19 as it held a “Paws Parade”. FiveAA’s Amanda Blair and celebrity chef Simon Bryant took part in an experiential walk with a guide dog, and hundreds of clients, volunteers, supporters and staff joined in. We provided publicity support for the event and donned the orange to take part.
