The earth moves at West Franklin

The state-of-the-art West Franklin development in the Adelaide CBD was officially launched on March 31 with a ground-breaking ceremony officiated by South Australian Minister for Investment and Trade, Hon Martin Hamilton Smith MP.  The event, managed by Hughes PR, brought together political and industry leaders, local and international media as well as purchasers to mark the special occasion with the project team. Located at 142 -150  Franklin Street, West Franklin is a $300 million residential mixed use project comprising 560 apartments. Following site preparation, construction of the West Franklin project is set to commence as early as September, with the first stage of the project likely to be completed in early 2018.  Construction will then move into the second stage of the development – providing continuity of employment for up to 1,350 construction industry workers until 2019. Hughes Managing Director Tim Hughes recently addressed the Australian Marketing Summit on the evolution of the PR industry. A packed audience heard Tim discuss the forces that are shaping our profession and destroying the divide between PR, advertising and digital agencies. Alexander Symonds video success

When Alexander Symonds was given an opportunity to give a short presentation to the UDIA National Congress, the firm chose video to convey its contribution to urban development, breadth of surveying services and the technology used in assisting major South Australian infrastructure and development projects.  Check out the short brand video that Hughes PR developed here

Cath on the move

Congratulations to long-time Hughes PR team member Cath Bauer who will be leaving the consultancy after almost seven years to join the SA Government Media Unit later this month.  Cath will be working as Media Adviser to the Minister for Investment and Trade, Martin Hamilton-Smith.  It’s a role she’s familiar with having served as Media Adviser to senior minister and Deputy Premier Graham Ingerson in the Brown/Olsen Liberal governments from 1993-97.
