SA marketing & communications trends
Recently Hughes conducted a survey with SA marketing professionals. We discovered businesses are trusting their PR consultancies with the majority of their communication activities. Key findings included:
  • 50% of SA business’ manage their marketing and communications needs via a combination of internal staff and external consultancies;
  • SA marketers see PR as best placed to manage approximately 70% of the marketing mix;
  • SA marketing budgets are reflecting this with PR spend up by over 10% on previous years for more than 70% of businesses surveyed.

Record visitor numbers for West Terrace Cemetery 

Adelaide Cemetery Authority’s West Terrace Cemetery has become a 'tourist hotspot' with visitor numbers reaching an all-time high.
 
Hughes PR has been working with the ACA to showcase the cemetery’s role in SA’s tourism landscape, including the launch of a night tour series which has already proven very popular since its launch earlier this year. New pop up venue brings surf lifesaving to the city

The City Beach Volleyball Courts will be transformed into a new pop up venue for the start of summer. The Creative Director behind Barrio and Lola’s Pergola, will turn the courts into the Frome Street Surf Life Saving Club (FSSLSC) open for just four nights, November 20-23. 

The FSSLSC will have bars, food and DJ's nightly. And as the sun goes down, the curtain will go up on great Australian films from finalists in this year’s Shorts Film Festival to be screened until 10:30pm. To purchase tickets click here
