Coles returns to Rundle Mall

Hughes PR client Coles has made a long-awaited return to Adelaide's Rundle Mall, opening a new market-style store as part of the new Rundle Place precinct.

Rundle Mall is an important part of Coles' history in South Australia being the location of the first Coles store to open in SA back in 1932.

Significantly, the new store will be the first Coles supermarket in South Australia – and the second in Australia – to adopt a new “grab and go” concept on a large scale to give city shoppers access to a wide range of pre-prepared takeaway meals from pizza and pasta to sushi and salads.

Coles South Australia General Manager Vito Borrello said Coles is delighted to return to Rundle Mall.

“Our new Rundle Mall store has been specifically designed around the shopping habits of city workers and residents, and includes convenient on-site car parking so customers can utilise the store for all their grocery needs large and small,” he said.

“Importantly, Coles Rundle Mall will continue to support South Australian food producers with more than 800 home-grown lines available at the new store, including some of the state’s best-loved local brands like Beerenberg, Spring Gully, Bickfords, Maggie Beer, Nippy’s, Emmaline’s Cakes and Balfours to name a few.” Read more

Northline celebrates 30 years of "connectivity"

Our client Northline has grown to be the largest, privately owned freight forwarding company in Australia and this month celebrated 30 years in business with an impressive event at the National Wine Centre for over 300 guests.

The event was themed around “Connectivity” and featured a contemporary mixed media performance of dance and light-painting projecting the new Northline brand.

The new brand will be phased in across the Northline truck fleet to bring the company’s story to the highways and by-ways of Australia – from Brisbane to Perth and from Adelaide to Darwin and all points in between.

Buyers invest $50 million at The Watson launch

Buyers at The Watson Apartments have snapped up $63.2 million worth of property, defying a flat market and putting aside any doubt that South Australians aren’t keen to embrace apartment living.

Registered buyers were given the first chance to buy into The Watson Apartments, followed by a public launch in March, which has seen 169 apartments sold by developers Asian Pacific Group and project sales and marketing agents Ironfish.

Asian Pacific Group Chief Executive Officer Will Deague said the response to the launch of The Watson had been extremely positive with buyers coming from across Adelaide along with a few buyers from regional South Australia and interstate.

The project is a first for Ironfish’s new Project Sales and Marketing Division. Read more
