Construction starts on Adelaide Airport terminal expansion

Construction has started on the $165m expansion of Adelaide Airport’s domestic and international terminal - improving the international arrivals and departures experience and creating more retail and dining options for all travellers. The project will take three years to complete, and will involve both a major extension of the terminal building as well as a complete refurbishment of existing retail and gate lounge areas.

Calvary Adelaide Hospital reaches 'topping out' milestone

The largest private hospital ever built in South Australia – the new $345 million Calvary Adelaide Hospital in Angas Street Adelaide central business district – has reached an important milestone with the official ‘topping out’ of construction at 12-storeys high.

The topping out celebration – which involves craning a ceremonial tree to the top of the site to signify the construction milestone – was watched by more than 70 invited guests including SA Premier Steven Marshall, Little Company of Mary Health Care Chair The Hon. John Watkins AM (pictured) and Commercial & General Executive Chairman Jamie McClurg.

Hughes PR is proud to be an official supporter of Safer Internet Day 2019. Run by The Office of the eSafety Commissioner Australia, Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual, worldwide event to help encourage a better internet.

Next year's theme is 'Together for a better internet', which is a call to action for all stakeholders to help create a better internet for everyone, and especially for younger users.

The Office of the eSafety Commissioner provides a range of online safety resources and programs to help all Australians have safe and positive online experience. 

Walking a mile to support Hutt St Centre

The Hughes team (and Wally the dog) joined in the 'Walk A Mile In My Boots' fundraiser for Hutt St Centre in August, supporting people facing homelessness. 

There are nearly 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia every year. Walk a Mile calls on South Australians to show our support for people facing homelessness, by getting together on a cold, winter's morning to walk one mile to find something to eat, a hot cup of tea or coffee, and a friendly face.

When Gillian passed away, she did so having had one of her final wishes granted; she spent her final month surrounded by her precious golden retriever puppies.
