Tasting success


Hughes recently worked with well-loved South Australian brand Mitani to create a new visual identity for its online presence promoting Mitani Chicken Salt. We designed a new website, filmed a series of recipe videos, commissioned photography and implemented a digital campaign to get Australians inspired to use Mitani Chicken Salt in their home cooking. 

Winter video showreel

South Australia is renowned around the world for our food and wine culture, and the diversity of our premium quality producers and growers. This winter, the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) commissioned Hughes to produce a series of seven videos for their industry toolkit; one for each of South Australia's key premium food and wine sectors. This project took our video production manager Serena all over the state, while motion graphics were also produced by our in-house design team.

The Hughes 2017 winter showreel is a proud showcase of the PIRSA videos, as well as other recent video and animation work for clients, including SKYCITY, Northline, UniSA and the Mary Potter Foundation.

Hughes client Slingsby Theatre Company has secured a season on 42nd Street in New York for its production The Young King after a world premiere and extended sell-out run at the 2016 Adelaide Festival of Arts.

This follows a successful staging in July and August of its seventh production, Emil and the Detectives, which is a tale of journey and adventure that was presented in an intimate theatrical style at the Myer Centre Adelaide (pictured above). 

Earlier this month, Slingsby also presented a 10th anniversary concert with music from the company’s composer Quincy Grant, and next week will produce the opening ceremony for the International Astronautical Congress being held in Adelaide.

Adelaide Casino expansion announcement 


Hughes recently worked with client SKYCITY to announce the go-ahead for its $330 million Adelaide Casino expansion, which will see it transformed into a world-class integrated entertainment destination.

Adelaide Casino will expand onto the Festival Plaza forecourt and include a new luxury hotel, three new bars, three additional signature restaurants and new VIP gaming facilities.

Hughes worked with SKYCITY to manage the media and assist with stakeholder engagement and production of a video of the announcement.
