Tim's taking to the streets for SA's homeless


Homelessness still hasn’t gone away – and neither has Hughes MD Tim Hughes, who will once again be taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, which this year will be held on June 29.

Last year’s SA Sleepout raised nearly $630,000 - helping Vinnies provide 17,155 nights of safe sleep to men experiencing homelessness, 40,000 meals through its Fred’s Van service, as well as supporting over 50,000 other people at risk of homelessness through Vinnies programs and services in SA.

There is still much to do and this year, Vinnies SA has made a conscious decision to become more involved in assisting women in crisis.

Construction underway at Kodo


Construction has officially commenced on the $100 million, 30-storey Kodo apartment development in the Adelaide CBD.
 
Hughes was pleased to help developer Flagship Property Holdings mark the occasion with a ground-breaking event for key dignitaries and local media on the Angas Street site.
 
Extensive media coverage was generated to announce the major project milestone, including this Channel 7 News Adelaide story.

World-first app provides care on demand


Hughes was delighted to help launch a new mobile app that enables people to access affordable, in-home care services on demand from qualified care workers.
 
Designed to address the increasing longevity of seniors and rising consumer demand for in-home support, Ubercare allows people to find carers at short notice in a similar way that consumers can order food or request immediate transport through their smartphones.
 
Hughes has produced several new videos for Ubercare’s website and social media channels (including this video), in addition to generating extensive media coverage about the app’s launch, including this story in The Advertiser
