Scotch students remember our Anzac heroes

Students from Scotch College continued a fine tradition of honouring our Anzac heroes this month with a special remembrance ceremony at Centennial Park.

Joined by 98-year-old war veteran Charlie Short, who fought in the 2/27th Battalion of the Australian Imperial Forces in World War II, the students placed Australian flags on the graves of more than 3,500 returned servicemen and women to pay tribute to fallen soldiers.

Hughes worked with the College, Mr Short’s family and The Advertiser to help set up a front page story of the event. Read more.

Construction starts on $80 million East End apartments

Work has commenced on a new $80 million apartment development in Adelaide’s East End, which will create more than 350 local jobs in construction.

South Australian Minister for Planning Stephan Knoll and Lord Mayor of Adelaide Martin Haese were on hand earlier this month to officially break ground on Wellstone Property’s East End Living apartments on Pirie Street, which will rise 16 storeys over Rymill Park in the city.

Hughes helped generate extensive media coverage of the ground-breaking event, including press, TV, radio and online coverage. Watch and read more.

Hughes blog: Stuck in a social media rut? Try a content brainstorm

It's Friday, you haven't posted anything on social media for a week, and have no ideas!

Creating compelling social media content that generates great engagement day-in, day-out can be a difficult challenge some days, and that's when a social media content brainstorm might be in order.

A content brainstorm is a team think-tank of topics that genuinely interest, inspire or motivate your online audience, and will reinvigorate your page with a fresh collection of content ideas, to get you out of the 'same-old, same-old' posts. Read more.
