You can email membership@durhamartguild.org to check on your membership status.
Better yet...anyone who joins or renews during this drive will be entered in a drawing to win a free one-year membership extension!
By purchasing your membership before June 23, you will receive $10 off the membership price. That’s $10 you can keep for other things like art supplies, submission fees, classes or maybe purchasing art by other local artists. The discount is deducted at check-out and all the levels and benefits of membership are listed at the base of this email for your review. Here are some noteworthy opportunities you will want to take advantage of as a DAG member in the coming weeks and months:
  • The 62nd Annual Juried Exhibition call for art will go out yet this June. Members will receive $10 off the submission fee. Already another $10 savings! This fall exhibition is the largest and most competitive of the year. Do not miss the announcement for this exceptional opportunity and who this year's juror will be.

  • Submit your work to be featured in smaller venues and local businesses around Durham with the help of DAG’s curatorial and programming services. These continued and new community partnerships create additional unique opportunities for local artists from year to year. We are pleased to continue our partnerships with Castalia at Meadowmont (2nd cycle call for art in June) and the Triangle Community Artists Gallery at the Triangle Community Foundation. Stay tuned as we are working to create new partnerships and strengthen the monetary benefit for our artists in these arrangements.

  • Be a part of SunTrust Gallery and Room 100 Gallery, solo and group exhibition opportunities exclusive to members of DAG. The call for solo and group show proposals for 2017 will be sent out early this fall.

  • WE ARE UPDATING! The DAG Member Services Committee is working to plot our additional programming (lectures, workshops, and other gatherings) in this next year. We will be seeking member feedback to help guide these events. We will also be seeking member feedback for a website overhaul in the near future so our primary online outlet can better serve our organization and our communities.
Please note that the database we initiated last year will make it easier for you to navigate your membership. If you create a LOGIN, or already have one, then all your information will be stored for a more efficient future renewal process. Once you login you will be able to:
  • review or make changes to your membership and stored information
  • make and track donations
  • receive automatic reminders for future membership renewals
If you forget your login or password, you can click "forgot password" and reset information will be sent to your email on file.  We ask for your patience as we are entering a new phase with this database, but we believe you will enjoy this convenient feature that will also allow us to better understand our membership base and meet your needs. If you have specific questions about your membership status or membership benefits at this time, please don't hesitate to email membership@durhamartguild.org with your inquiry.

If you still aren’t convinced that DAG membership is worthwhile to you as an artist or art enthusiast, consider what our members Kathryn and Natasha have to say:
I am an artist who has been living and working in Durham, NC since 1993.  I discovered the Guild soon after and was pleased to have an art community that is supportive and encouraging of artists of all levels.  Every time I walk into the Durham Art Guild I meet other artists and art lovers.   The shows are inspiring!

I will renew my membership to keep up with art events in Durham and the Triangle.   It is great to have the perks of membership like reduced commissions on art sales and art show entries.

"I originally became involved with the Durham Art Guild as a way to connect with other artists and art enthusiasts in my new community of Durham, NC. Joining the Guild is a great way to gain exposure in the Durham arts scene through community shows and juried exhibitions. Often as artists we have a tendency to work in silo, however, the best inspiration tends to lend itself when we’re in a creative space surrounded with like-minded individuals."
