BOV Meeting Attracts Student Protestors
On Thursday, March 31st, George Mason University's Board of Visitors held a regularly scheduled meeting in Merten Hall. Led by Rector Tom Davis, the meeting covered deliberation over public contracts, honorary degrees, recent financial gifts, and fundraising activities. A group of student protesters also showed up for the meeting, holding signs with slogans meant to sway BOV decisions on a variety of issues. The most common student concerns were financial in nature: "high tuition [is not] accessible," "education is a right," "college should not be run like a business," and "no tuition increase at GMU."

Pick up today's print edition of Fourth Estate to read more about the protests.
