2015 Insight Career Symposium Recap
Content Marketing: The Art of Storytelling Across Media Platforms
The Communication Department sponsored the 5th Annual Communication Symposium on October 20th. The roundtable discussion was led by Ton Hoog, chairman of the GMU Insight Committee. WGMU Sports Director Jason Brightman was in attendance and had this to say on what he gained from the event:

"Keep consistent on ALL platforms. Here at Student Media we really have a benefit; our offices are all located in the same place. Cross-promoting and having content formatted for multiple platforms is one of the best way to gain readers/viewers/listeners.

"Accepting change is not an option, it is a must. Thanks to technology, media is constantly changing toward simple, more accessible platforms; for better or for worse. Papers move to tablets and radio [moves] to our phones – we live in a digital age with multi-platform capability."
