Dear Jerry 2: This is 30!
Looking for something fun to do on campus next weekend? Join The Avett Brothers and very special guest Warren Haynes on lead guitar and vocals for Dear Jerry 2: This Is 30!, honoring the music and legend of the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia. This Is 30! will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Garcia’s historic return to the concert stage by recreating a classic Jerry Garcia Band show from October, 1986 as well as other Garcia classics. Student Media and WGMU Radio have partnered with Blackbird Presents to promote this major concert event, giving our students the opportunity to work alongside music industry professionals to gain hands-on marketing and event experience.

$15 student/alumni tickets are now available!

Paid Internship Fall 2016:
Cortona Academy
needs a person with
superior writing, grammar, researching, and speaking skills to serve at our front desk, learning the ropes of marketing. Writing articles is CRITICAL for our marketing plan. We need a student who is motivated, well-dressed (we’re a school office and everyone must dress in business casual), and has a positive personality.
Applicants must be a junior, senior or grad student, be a quick typist (we also do databases), and absolutely know social media. A “plus” would be the ability to update our website, which is Wordpress. This is an intern position, but we are willing to pay base salary (min. wage) + hefty bonuses for helping us at conventions during some weekends and evenings.
