Using Google+ and LinkedIn will make you a better marketer

For many marketers Google+ and LinkedIn still barely register. Who uses Google+ anyway? LinkedIn is just about looking for a new job, right? Wrong. Although it's taken time for these "secondary" social media platforms to become established, they now are. Loved up in February

by Kim Browne

For as far back as I can remember, February has always been a significant month on the yearly calendar and there are a number of life-changing events (good and bad) that I can personally trace back to February.

On the Flipside
Twisted Toast Digital recently assisted Alexander Forbes with the launch of Benefits BarometerThe Benefits Barometer book and blog provides a comprehensive overview of the employee benefits system in South Africa. If you’re employed, you’re probably already aware that employee benefits could work better. This is why Alexander Forbes invested significantly in the research contained within Benefits Barometer. Its aim is to stimulate debate about employee benefits to ensure a more positive future for all. Check out the Twisted Toast Prezi for more.
The Bottom Line
If you were looking for Twisted Toast Digital managing director Louis Eksteen and chairman David Browne during the second week of February, you would have found them paddling down the Dusi and Umgeni rivers between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. Yes, they started and finished the Unlimited Dusi Canoe Marathon 2013 as novices. Our chief executive officer Kim Browne did a brilliant job as Team Toast's second. As part of the company's social responsibility efforts, we co-sponsored hot up-and-coming young paddler Siseko Ntondini's Kevlar Knysna Racing Vantage Pro kayak. Amazingly, Siseko placed 11th, just missing out on the gold medals that go to the top 10. Watch this space next year!
