1Password that we recommended last month? Now on sale! If you've not purchased it yet (for Mac or for iOS), now is a great time. It comes with a 30 day money-back guarantee, too.
Over the last weekend, Yahoo! forced all their email users to abandon the old Yahoo! email system and start using the new Yahoo! email system, like it or not. One issue with this forced migration is that in the new system Yahoo! will scan the contents of your email so that they can better advertise to you. (Just like Google's Gmail.) This level of intrusiveness obviously does not sit well with many people.
Two options:
1. For now, Yahoo! allows users to opt-out of their "Interest-based Ads." That should mean Yahoo! won't scan your email, though they will continue to shovel ads your way.
2. MSS Tier 2 or 3. Starting at just $60 a year (and a one-time $25 set up fee), MSS Tier 2 members get two of their own email addresses at their own domain as well as a raft of other features. MSS Tier 3, which we covered last month, offers even more.
As always, if you require help with any of the above, we remain happy and eager to assist.
Tip o' the Day
If you have ever been surfing along in Safari and accidentally closed a window, you know how frustrating it can be. The same is true if you've accidentally quit Safari. Well, good news: You can get right back to where you were by going to History > Reopen Last Closed Window or History > Reopen All Windows from Last Session. This won't work if you've been browsing with "Private Browsing" turned on, but otherwise it's a mighty fine little time saver when you've made a mistake.
If you need assistance with this or any other Apple-related technology, please call MacAtoZ at 503-507-0410. We'd be thrilled to help.
