Ananda Marga Books NYS website
has got a new look!

When Didi Anudhyana, the new WWD RS Boston Region, made some remarks that stimulated the desire for making the 'books for sale' site better and easier to navigate, we went to work. Through the joint efforts of Dada Unmantrananda, Dada Dhruva, Brother Ardasha, and PRS Dada Vimaleshananda, we took the existing site to bare bones and analyzed the contents. Then we set to building up a site that is designed to be more user friendly, show our publications to a new advantage, show off some beautiful cover art, and give a place for your feedback and reviews. With the catalog at present over 100 titles, we invite you to review your favorite books, which will help when old and new viewers go shopping. With the Publications Department bringing in new titles and revised editions every year, we have our work cut out for us to keep up. While books will still be on sale at the retreats to carry home, the website affords us the flexibility to reach the far corners of our sector with the easiest mail order publications access to date. You can also cruise the site for new titles. Let us know if there are books we need to include that are omitted. Thanks for your cooperation and don't hesitate to provide more feedback!

Verse, Mythology, History and Itihása
 by Shrii Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar
"So when the Aryans found that Persia offered them various delights, they named it aryánaḿ vraja, that is, “the bountiful land of the Aryans.” From this the county was called Iranbej, and the present name is Iran. The Arabic name of the country is Pharas, from which the word Persia has come; but the proper name of the country is Iran."

What was Yours, Lord, I have given You.
Now, O Lord, take him / her on Your lap.

With tears I have given him / her,
with pangs of loss,
my consolation is only this:
that You have accepted him / her.

All those who came, are existing still.
In infinity all are still alive.
But still, we live in fear and loss;
and forgetting You
we worry and weep.

O Lord, forgetting You
we worry and weep.

Lost on a desert island and only can take one thing to read? This is it. The essence of all spirituality is contained within in beautiful prose. Very beautiful and profound.

Bhaeravii

Avadhut is a generic term for those enlightened sages of India who wander about, naked and free of all attachment to the world; and Dattatreya was apparently the embodiment of this ascetic ideal. The song (gita) in Sanskrit verse, called the Avadhut Gita, which is attributed to him, is certainly one of the purest expressions of the unitive awareness of the Self ever written.
