Ananda Sutram

Ananda Sutram is the basic scripture of modern Yoga composed in Sanskrit by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti (1921-1990) in the year 1961. In the best traditions of sutra literature, the sutras (eighty-five in number), serve with breathtaking conciseness, as a framework for the entire Ananda Marga ideology. A project has been launched for having the translations of Ananda Sutram in all languages of the world. Besides the English translation separate pages have been opened for Spanish, French, Hindi, Chinese, Swedish, Tagalog, Bengali, etc. All the translations will need revision from native speakers and  collaboration is welcome! Strawberry Toaster Pop-Tarts

This homemade version of the childhood favorite is absolutely incredible. The recipe combines a flaky pastry and strawberry preserves—what's not to like? The tarts are kept raw in the freezer, ready to bake for serving warm at the late potluck breakfasts. Of course you can use any type jam you like from blackberry to apricot.

Ingredients:

•2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour plus additional for shaping and rolling
•1 teaspoon salt
•1 teaspoon sugar
•1 cup (2 sticks) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
•4 tablespoons ice water

Listen, listen, O humans of the earth!
An unknown traveller has come.
In His eyes shines a glow of love.
Who knows what message He speaks?

In the rhythm of dance,
He moves along.
With the magic of melody,
He binds all.

Come one and all!
Just see, just see how charming He looks!

Resonating the sound of jingling bells
into everyone's ears,
Spreading rays of effulgence into everyone's lives,
He speaks:

"Look ! I have brought a bucketful
of the nectar of immortality
to distribute to the world."
