Preliminary recommendations from the SECAS Futures Project

Over the last 12 months, considerable effort has been directed toward a formal examination of the SECAS partnership, known as the SECAS Futures Project. The bulk of this project was completed last fall. The final report is still in review and expected for completion next month. Until the report is released, the project’s initial conclusions are providing some specific details on one of the primary objectives of the study: understanding how SECAS delivers value to its partners. Two upcoming webinars: Evaluating the economics of game lands and results of the SECAS Futures project

Two upcoming webinars hosted by the South Atlantic Blueprint team as part of the Third Thursday Web Forum series may be of interest to the SECAS community. The first on January 21st at 10 am ET focuses on determining the use, economic impacts, and value of game lands. This project began in North Carolina and is being expanded to the rest of the Southeast this fall. The second on February 18th at 10 am ET will highlight the results of the SECAS Futures Project, including the assessment approach, study findings, and a strategy for implementing project recommendations.
