Honduras Hope Missions 2014

Email Newsletter #01

Welcome to the first email to the 2014 Honduras Hope mission team.  I'm Christopher Wiles, and I'll be happily serving as one of your contacts for the adventure God is leading us towards.

Our Team

Our travelling team is rounding out nicely.  At this time I show our team consisting of 7 confirmed from Indiana, 1 from Kentucky, 1 from Tennessee, 1 from Arkansas, and 5 from Texas for a total of 15 confirmed.  We also are awaiting word from 3 more from Indiana and 1 more from Kentucky potentials.  Yet our team is not made up of just travelers.  There are many friends and family members who have been busy planning and praying for this trip to be one that honors our Lord.  If there is someone else you would like to be a part of our team, simply forward them this email and direct their attention to the bottom where they can subscribe to the newsletters.

Your Preparation

Prayer - We currently need people praying for the preparation of our travelers as well and the overall well being of our friends in Honduras.  Please ask the Lord to keep the devil and his schemes at bay in the upcoming months.
Passport -  If a traveler haven't already gotten his/her passport process started, it is imperative to start now. Delaying the passport process will increase your cost and potentially ruin a person's opportunity to attend.  Go here for more information: GOVERNMENT PASSPORT SITE

2014 Application - If a traveler has yet to turn in an application to Allen or Christopher, we need to get that in very soon.  Here's a link to download the application by clicking here: HONDURAS APPLICATION

Thank you all so much for your willingness to serve. The Lord has put many people together to help you serve Him.  I'll begin introducing you to others in the next email. You can contact me the following ways:

This area will be used to help you get to know those in Honduras who serve with our team.

Karol and Kelin have been faithful translators for us for years now in our Honduras mission trips.  These two sweet young ladies bear the brunt of our awful Spanish (and sometimes awful English) to get us around Honduras.  Mitchell Church of Christ has spear headed an effort to aid these ladies in going to university in Honduras where they score wonderful marks in the field of engineering!  We're looking forward to joining with these two wonderful servants again.

Matthew 25:24-26, 40
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me,I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’"
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
