Click here on Saturday to join the webinar

This is the final week to see the exhibitions in our convergent program SPACE BETWEEN US, and we're marking the final day with a special event on Saturday.

At 1pm artists, writers, curators and the public will gather together virtually for the launch of the SPACE BETWEEN US interactive publication. This anthology holds the work of artists and writers who have worked together over the past year.

In spite of geographical distances and the global pandemic, artists and writers have bridged these challenges to create new work. During the launch they will share glimpses of their work, the themes that bind their material and written practices, and their collaborative experience.

Viewers will have an opportunity to submit questions during the launch. We hope you can join us for this free event; just click here a few minutes before the start at 1pm.

OFFSITE_ONSITE / Ongoing Installation Projects

Ongoing installation projects from the "Offsite_Onsite" residency is visible in CVAG's lower windows facing 6th Street.

The OFFSITE_ONSIGHT creative residency is a collaboration between local artist Shelley Vanderbyl, Syrian artist Nisrine Boukhari (now based in Austria), Art Now curator Abir Boukhari (Syrian, now based in Sweden) and CVAG curators Angela Somerset and Denise Lawson.

Abir, Shelley and Nisrine have known one another for a number of years. Having met in Sweden and worked together in Winnipeg, Manitoba, they have maintained connection and collaboration over times and distances apart. During the residency period, the ongoing dialogue between them will inform their practices. Ongoing installation projects emerging from this residency will be visible from 6th street in the lower windows of CVAG from February 25 to March 27.

See more about this project on our website.

Video will run in the window facing the CVAG plaza from March 4 to March 23.
